As you can see...I'm growing, growing, growing. The baby has nowhere to go but up into my lungs and down into my bladder. So there's definitely some discomfort there.
I had an ultrasound on Christmas Eve and the baby measures at 4lbs, 4 oz - exactly right on schedule for where I am in the pregnancy. Everything else is good too, his face looks perfect, as does my uterus etc...
I am borderline gestational diabetic, so I have to manage my diet and stay away from sugar. If you know me, you know that is a MAJOR challenge. I love all things sugar and I would gladly give up all meat, if it meant I could live on ice cream and candy alone. But I'm being a good girl for the baby, so that means lots of protein and veggies.
My weight gain at this point is 20lbs. So I now weigh 140lbs! Yikes...never thought I'd see the day, but it's here.
Please pray for energy and sleep for me. I still need to work through January!

Harvest Family Baby Shower!

December 9th was my Harvest family Baby shower. We had so much fun and I was so blessed with an abundance of baby clothes and supplies! We played several games...including, "draw the baby on a paper plate on top of your head" and "guess the circumference of Andrea's belly." Also a hit, was "name that baby food."
Thank you to my Harvest family for making me feel so special and loved!

29 Week Doctor Appointment

Everything went well at our 29 week doctor appointment. We learned that the baby's head is down...and boy can I feel that! The pressure is really increasing. He has fun moving around and kicking me all the time. I answered YES to all of the following questions: Do you have headaches? Are you swolen? Are you feeling pressure? And I added that I'm having frequent stabbing, painful ligament pains on my lower left side. They stop me in
I won't be having another ultra-sound until I get to 38 weeks...if I get to 38 weeks.
We purchased a used changing table over the weekend and that was the last of the big baby furniture for the nursery! I washed and put away even more baby clothes. On our To Do list: Buy a video camera! (hoping to do that before Christmas)
Above are a few pics from the Mission Inn in Riverside.

Bundy/Cosby Baby Shower - November 15, 2008

Baby Bundy's first "showering" of gifts was at a shower with the Bundy family for Auntie Grace and myself. The shower was hosted by cousin Beth Larivee and Auntie Val. The location was The Veranda Restaurant at The Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego. It was a lovely location and an amazing day (a little warm, but so beautiful)! Beth and Val did a great job of creating a cozy and classy shower for us. The guests got to name both baby boys with all the letters of the alphabet. There were lots of "Xaviers" and "Quincys." We also had to "complete the nursery rhymes," of which I could barely remember any... and Beth read beautiful quotes and scriptures as the "showering" ensued.
The gifts were wonderful and I could hardly believe that all these little things were for MY baby...It was a day that I will remember forever!
Thanks Beth, Val and the whole family!

First Baby Bundy Blog! (seven months)
Here is the Bundy family at 26 weeks along and counting. I'm not sure who's more anxious for our little guy to be out, Jon or me. I of course feel uncomfortable and just generally miserable all the time and would love to have him in my arms instead of in my belly. Jon can't wait to take him off-roading and scuba diving (it's gonna be awhile honey...)
I am now actually 28 weeks along and can feel our little guy doing his jumping jacks inside me right now and all the time! He comes alive at night but lately he's been so active ALL the time.
I've been having headaches often, and I feel like it's getting harder to move around. (Tying my shoes is a challenge.) My fingers are also swelling a bit and look like little sausages. But I'm still working every day and there's always so much to do at home.
This last weekend Jon and Auntie Val helped me get the baby's closet cleaned out and ready for clothes. We already have plenty of Newborn clothes, new and hand-me-downs. The crib and basic furniture is up and ready to go, although we still need a changing table. (I'm gonna hit the garage sales soon!)
